World of Variation Cover Re-design

Re-designing my grandparents' 1970 publication "World of Variation" was a task that only began with my class assignment.I did not have enough time to fully conceptualize and create a great cover in the time I was given, so I continued working on it past the due date. The different yet cohesive color pallet and multi-dimensional effect speak to the soul of the book. The simplicity of the design while still being able to catch a potential reader's eye is a balance that took a while to get to this point. I experimented with different textures and overlays that captured my grandmother's philosophical thinking and architectural trends in her work. My grandmother even told me she would speak with the publishers and see if they could make mine an alternate cover.
